What do Certified Medical Assistants do?
Certified Medical Assistants perform a variety of tasks.
1. Use computer applications
2. Schedule appointments and coordinate services
3. Code and process insurance accounts
4. Assist with examinations and treatment procedures
5. Authorize prescription refills as directed by physician
6. Prepare and administer medications
7. Perform routine laboratory procedures
8. Remove sutures and change dressings
9. Perform electrocardiography testing
